This statement supplements our Privacy Policy and explains the controls we aim to apply to personal and commercially sensitive information handled in enquiries, quotations, orders and projects.
We aim to request only information reasonably required to understand, price, supply and administer the relevant requirement. Customers should redact unrelated personal or confidential information from drawings, photographs and documents before upload where practical.
Uploaded specifications, drawings, schedules and photographs may be shared with relevant manufacturers, suppliers or specialist subcontractors where this is necessary to obtain technical input, pricing, manufacture, delivery or installation. We aim to limit sharing to the information reasonably required.
Access to business information should be limited to people and service providers who need it for legitimate business purposes. Appropriate confidentiality expectations apply to suppliers, subcontractors and professional advisers where relevant.
Information may be held in email, cloud services, accounting systems, project records and website/form systems. We use proportionate access controls and security practices, but customers should not use ordinary website forms to transmit passwords, banking credentials or unnecessary highly sensitive information.
Records are retained in line with operational, contractual, warranty, insurance, tax, accounting and legal requirements, then securely deleted or disposed of when no longer reasonably required.
Suspected loss, unauthorised disclosure or compromise of personal information should be reported promptly to MDE. We will assess relevant incidents and make notifications to affected parties or regulators where required by law.
